5 Card Draw
5 Card Draw is the first poker game that many poker players play, and it’s one of the simplest to learn. It’s rarely seen played at casinos and tournaments but it can be found at some online poker sites.
Each player is dealt five cards facedown to start the action in 5 Card Draw. There’s a round of betting, after which each player is given the option to discard and get new cards for each card they discard. Discarding is optional and a player may choose to stand pat and play the five original cards they were dealt if they want.
After each player has discarded, there’s a final round of betting, after which players still in the hand show their cards, and the player with the best hand is declared the winner and pushed the pot.
