To learn the rules of five card draw, you need a deck of cards and 2-8 players.
Starting Out...
• You begin by placing your bet, a small one, in the pot.
• The game starts with the player located at the dealer's left, who deals every player five cards with face down.
• You pick up the card and check what you got.
• Then starts the betting round, beginning again with the player positioned at the left side of the dealer.
• After betting, players who are left in the hand get a chance to trade in either a single, double, or triple card from their hand in exchange of new ones.
• In case you have an ace, you are entitled to trade in the other cards in your hand; but normally you have to show the ace.
• IT IS NOT COMPULSORY TO TRADE YOUR CARDS. If you have a good hand, you can "stand pad" and retain the first-dealt cards.
• Once each player gets their new cards, a second round of betting begins, commencing from the left side of the dealer.
• After betting gets over, all the players display their hands. The best hand is the winner of the pot.
