The Dealer
In Texas Hold'em, the dealer is the person who is last to act. In home games that person also shuffles and deals out the cards, however in a casino cardroom they have professional dealers who do that. A dealer button, usually a white plastic puck that says "Dealer" on it, is placed in front of the dealer to identify him/her. The button is then moved clockwise after each hand.
