Rules of Seven Card Stud
Seven Card Stud is still widely available. Though, this poker game does not receive the television media as other more popular forms of poker. Seven Card Stud is played with up to eight members. It is also mostly a limit style game. Most of this type of poker has an ante. That is a percentage of the small blind. Small blinds ensure there is always action at the table. The way the small blind is chosen is the person with the lowest face up card must put in the blind.
When the ante is completed the dealer gives each player three cards. Two cards are face down, which are called the hole cards. One is face up for all players to see. A round of betting begins. Another card that is face up is dealt to all players. A second round of betting is launched. From now on in this play, the best face up cards begins the betting. For example, if one person has two face up cards that are 5 4, another has k 7 and a third has 2 2, the person with the pair will bet first. After that round of betting has been completed, another face up card is dealt to every member that is in play. This method continues until the last card. The last card is dealt face down; this is the third and final hole card. The winner of this set is the person who has the best five out of seven cards. If two people have a flush, the highest card is examined first. When the numbering is the same, the suit is then examined. If there are not enough cards to go around on the last play then the dealer will place the last card face up in the middle of the board. This is the community card. All players can use this card to make their best five card hand. This method usually only happens when the table is completely full and no one has folded their hand throughout the betting stages.
This game is complex to play and takes even longer to learn. An individual must view all cards quickly and make an informed decision. This can take a bunch of practice before an individual gets the hang of it. There is a lot of skill involved mastering Seven Card Stud. A person must be quick with numbers and math to understand the principles in a few tries. However, with a lot of practice and study, a person could master this game in no time.
